A play about Tahirih Qurrat al-'Ain and Forough Farrokhzad: two significant female poets of the nineteenth and twentieth century fighting for women's rights in the Middle East.

Two women in search of their female identity: Tahirih Qurrat al-'Ain (1817-1852) and Forough Farrokhzad (1934-1967). The two leading poets of their generations and made a strong commitment to women's rights in Iran and led a very emancipated for that time of life. Even today they are considered role models of Iranian women's movement.
The Iranian author and director Niloofar Beyzaie lives in exile in Germany since 1985. She studied German Literature, Theater, Film and Television Studies and Pedagogy at the Goethe University in Frankfurt. In 1994 she founded the theater group Daritsche. Central themes of her work in the theater are "the woman", "the stranger" and "the suffering of the individual in the crowd". It deals with contemporary issues and deals with socio-critical eye with Iran. In 2005 she was honored by the World Academy of Persian art, literature and media in Budapest for their dedicated work in the theater as the best director in exile in the category of Performing Arts.
